Description

This project will extend the broader program of homeless health research undertaken by our research team (Home2Health) within the Institute for Health Research at UNDA. It will involve examining cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment, and health outcomes (including mortality) amongst a large cohort of people with lived experience of homelessness in WA, with the aim of addressing cancer-related evidence/data gaps for this population to improve opportunities for prevention, earlier intervention, and reduction in the frequency of premature cancer-related mortality in this priority population group. The research project is the subject of the recently awarded public health priority grant co-funded by the Future Health Research & Innovation Fund and Cancer Council WA.
