Description

Camera trap data package from the Wildlife Observatory of Australia's Wildlife Camera Database. Dataset ID: QLD_Dwyers_Scrub_ANIM3018_2023_WildObsID_0005. This camera trap survey was conducted as part of UQ's ANIM3018 Wildlife Technologies course, where undergrad students were taught a range of different technologies to study willdife, including cameras. After a lecture learning about camera traps, the class took a feild trip to Dwyer's Scrub Conservation Area in the Lockyear Valley where the students deployed camera traps in roughly 4 clusters due to access. There was no standard method for setting cameras (e.g. features, distance between cams, etc) because this was a learning exercise for the students to examine how some deployments might gather more/less detections. Cameras were collected after several (4?) weeks, and then fed into Wildlife Insights. The students compared the WI comptuer vision and and their own ID's to see how the model preformed for their report. The human verifie
