Description

This umbrella project will contribute to the recovery of Commonwealth-listed threatened species and priority places by supporting (i) independent sub-projects, 1 each with a total NESP budget of up to $500,000 and (ii) PhD2 projects, each with a total NESP budget of up to $50,000. Although the maximum total budget is fixed, the mix of sub-projects and PhD projects will be determined by the quality of the applications and their relevance to research-user and hub priorities. All sub-projects and PhD projects will inform the conservation of terrestrial and freshwater priority species and places listed in the Australian Government’s Threatened species action plan 2022–2032, Commonwealthlisted Key Threatening Processes and/or the priorities of relevant state/territory agencies. Each subproject and PhD project will have a clear pathway to impact.
