Description

This study aims to design, implement, and evaluate a psychotherapy program for individuals experiencing negative premenstrual change (PMC). It consists of three stages. First, an online survey and one-to-one interviews explored experiences of PMC and priorities for psychotherapy. Next, a tailored psychotherapy program will be developed and delivered, informed by the survey and interview data. The program will incorporate mixed-method data collection, including therapy session recordings and arts-based research methods. Finally, follow-up interviews will examine participants’ experiences and constructions of the psychotherapy program. This research addresses a gap in women’s health and mental health, with the potential to enhance psychotherapeutic support for PMC.
