Description
This research project will investigate how yoga manifests and is practiced in Australia. We will compare our findings in Australia with those from Paul Bramadat’s previous research on yoga in North America to see whether there are meaningful differences and/or similarities between yoga in Australia and North America. This includes considering whether the influence of India is different in the two contexts, and the relevance of nation-specific policies on, for example, healthcare and indigenous reconciliation.
