      "text": "Australia has among the highest incidence of skin cancer in the world; two out of three people in Australia will have some form of skin cancer by age 70. Those living in regional and rural areas have a higher incidence of skin cancer than their metropolitan counterparts, and yet, the reach of skin cancer services to regional, rural, and remote Australia is limited to non-existent. General Practitioners (GPs) are primarily responsible for opportunistic skin cancer detection, often made difficult by constrains on consult times, further exacerbated by the maldistribution of primary care providers in rural areas. One solution may be to better utilise nurses as primary providers of skin checks in collaboration with these GPs. This study will examine the barriers and enablers of nurse-led skin checks in rural Australia. Semi-structured interviews will be used to assess the perceived barriers and enablers to a nurse-led screening model, from the perspective of the practitioners who deliver these services. If successful, this project will highlight how to improve future implementation of a nurse-led screening model, and better position future skin screening methods for uptake in rural communities.",
