Descriptions
Description
Aortic Stenosis (AS) is a serious heart condition characterized by the narrowing of the aortic valve and is the cause of substantial morbidity and mortality in Australia. When both moderate and severe, AS is associated with an increased risk of death. The aim of this study is to examine the performance of AI in identifying severe AS compared with specialist Cardiologists, and whether the assistance of the AI (as the “gold standard”) has the potential to improve the quality and consistency of AS reporting.
The objective is to evaluate whether the EchoSolv-AS AI can improve the quality and consistency of AS reporting by correctly identifying guideline-severe AS and the severe AS phenotype.
