By prioritising midwives' voices and narratives via semi structured interviews, it proposes to uncover the hidden power dynamics and normative influences. This proposed study aligns with feminist principles and the pursuit of true gender equality, shedding light on the complexities surrounding gender-neutral language. This research offers a unique opportunity to understand midwives' perspectives on using gender-neutral language, inform policies and provide guidance to promote inclusivity. Using a phenomenological approach with semi-structured interviews aims to foster a more participatory and respectful engagement with midwife participants, reinforcing trust and candid sharing of experiences.
