Descriptions

Description
The use of acupressure and massage during childbirth has been shown to be effectiveness for supporting normal labour, reducing unnecessary medical interventions, and increasing satisfaction for women during birth. For hospitals, these approaches are low-cost and straight-forward to implement. Importantly acupressure and massage provide natural pain management and improve the experience of childbirth, which many women describe as traumatic due to medical interventions. To understand the effectiveness of the training program and to understand how these modalities are used maternity services, this study will use on online survey tool, containing 10-point scales to ask healthcare providers about any changes in their level of skill and knowledge in using these techniques before and after training, and then 6 months after training. We will also ask if they are using the skills 6 months after training, and what might help them to implement the skills more effectively.
