Description
Our project will build upon these previous research studies to better understand the lived experience of consumers using prepayment metering across Australia. Across the jurisdictions in which pre-payment operates there are likely to be diverse views and experiences about its impact on energy security, consumer rights and protections, and community wellbeing. This will be based on prevailing temperatures and whether solar has been rolled out in these communities. There are also differences in how prepayment for electricity operates in the Northern Territory, Western Australia, South Australia, and Queensland.
