Descriptions

Description

This Doctor of Education study explores what sustains long-serving Religious Education teachers’ commitment to teaching RE in Catholic secondary schools in the Archdiocese of Perth. Using Auto/ethnography, I will examine my own professional experience through a reflexive journal, structured memory work and selected professional artefacts. I will also interview up to five experienced RE teachers. With consent, I will audio-record interviews, transcribe them, and analyse them alongside my self-inquiry materials to identify factors that help teachers remain in RE teaching over time.
